Recently, Prof. DONG Birong, Chair of the University Council of Nanjing Audit University, led a delegation to the Republic of Uzbekistan. The delegation paid visits to the Chamber of Accounts of Uzbekistan, Tashkent State University of Economics, and Bukhara State University, while also engaging in in-depth discussions with NAU alumni and Chinese enterprises operating in Uzbekistan, thereby achieving comprehensive and substantive cooperation.
At Tashkent State University of Economics, the delegation held official talks with Rector Tulkin Teshabaev. The two sides jointly signed the Agreement on the Undergraduate Dual-Degree Joint Program between Nanjing Audit University and Tashkent State University of Economics, exchanged the Roadmap for Further Enhancing Audit Efficiency Cooperation Based on "China's Audit Experience,"and jointly inaugurated the Belt and Road Audit and International Governance Research Institute established by the two universities, creating a cooperation platform for audit talent development, academic innovation, and governance practice in the Central Asian region.
In addition, in partnership with Phoenix Media, the two universities jointly established and unveiled the "Phoenix Library" at Tashkent State University of Economics. The delegation also visited the Higher School of State Audit, newly established at TSUE by presidential decree of Uzbekistan.
At Bukhara State University, Mr. Dong Birong held in-depth consultations with Rector Obidjon Khamidov. Following the consultations, the two sides held a ceremony to exchange the Cooperation Roadmap.
During their stay in Uzbekistan, the delegation was invited to visit Mr. Mekhriddin Abdullaev, First Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Accounts of Uzbekistan and Honorary Professor of NAU. The inauguration ceremony of the Central Asian Alumni Association was held in Tashkent. Mr. Kudrat Erimmetov, an alumnus of the 2016 cohort of the International Master's Program in Auditing and currently Head of the Department for Coordination of Internal Audit Service Activities and External Audit Methodology of the State Financial Control Bodies at the Chamber of Accounts of Uzbekistan, attended the ceremony and was elected President of the Alumni Association.
The delegation also visited Chinese enterprises operating in Uzbekistan, including Huawei and CCSP Group for exchanges.
