Nanjing Audit University Honorary Professorship Conferring Ceremony on Auditors General of Malaysia, Turkey and Maldives

On March 30, 2026, Dato' Seri Wan Suraya Wan Mohd Radzi, Auditor General of the National Audit Department of Malaysia; Mr. Metin Yener, President of the Turkish Court of Accounts; and Mr. Hussain Niyazy, Auditor General of Auditor General's Office of Maldives, were conferred as Honorary Professors of Nanjing Audit University.

The Honorary Professorship Conferring Ceremony was held in the Minda Academic Lecture Hall at Nanjing Audit University. Distinguished guests from National Audit Office of China and other departments witnessed the ceremony on site, including H.E. HOU Kai, Auditor General of CNAO, as well as Mr. Shahafeez Shaharis, Consul General of Malaysia in Shanghai. Prof. DONG Birong, Party Secretary of NAU, along with the senior leadership as well as faculty and student representatives, also attended the ceremony.

Prof. DONG extended a sincere welcome to all the distinguished guests. He said that on July 4, 2023, President XI Jinping replied to NAU’s international students of Master of Audit Program, injecting strong impetus and pointing out the direction for the university to deepen international exchanges and cooperation, promote high-standard opening up in education, and better serve the high-quality development of the auditing cause. He hoped that this ceremony would serve as a starting point to strengthen audit education exchanges and cultivate international audit professionals capable of connecting China and the world.

Vice President LI Qianwen hosted the ceremony and read out the decision to confer the title of Honorary Professor upon Ms. Dato' Seri Wan Suraya Wan Mohd Radzi, Mr. Metin Yener, and Mr. Hussain Niyazy.

Prof. DONG presented the honorary professorship appointment letter, pinned the university badges, and offered souvenirs to the three honorary professors in turn.
