From November 24th to 28th, Mario Baez, former chief accountability officer at the United Nations, visited our university. He was appointed as an honorary professor of Nanjing Audit University and engaged in a week-long series of exchange seminars. On November 24th, the appointment ceremony was held at the School of International Students.

On behalf of all faculty and students, President LU Hualiang expressed a warm welcome and sincere gratitude to Professor Baez for his appointment. We look forward to taking this opportunity to continuously deepen the collaboration and synergy between Nanjing Audit University and the United Nations system, jointly contributing professional expertise to enhance international audit governance capabilities and promote sustainable development.

Professor Baez expressed great honor at being appointed as an honorary professor of Nanjing Audit University and stated that he would actively fulfill the responsibilities. He also shared over thirty years of work insights and practical experience within the United Nations system with the faculty and students of Nanjing Audit University.

Vice President LI Qianwen presided over the appointment ceremony and read out the "Decision on Conferring the Honorary Professor to Mario Baez, former chief accountability officer at the United Nations." On the same day, Professor Baez delivered a special lecture for Nanjing Audit University students and communicated with them. He also visited the campus of our university.
