The Engineering Management Department combines the construction auditing established in 1983 and engineering management founded in 2002, boasting the only engineering management auditing in China. With the Provincial key laboratory (Jiangsu Key Lab of Audit Information Engineering) as the research platform and the laboratory jointly built by the central and local governments (Fixed Asset Investment Auditing Laboratory) as the teaching base, it engages in scientific research of engineering auditing, personnel training, and community service.
The Engineering Management Department has 10 qualified teachers, consisting of 1 professor, 4 associate professors, and 5 lecturers, who are responsible for over 20 curriculums consisting of three modules of engineering, accounting, and auditing.
The Department engages in theoretical and practical studies of engineering auditing. The main research orientations include basic principles of construction project auditing, engineering management auditing, engineering cost auditing, engineering network auditing, engineering quality auditing, and so on. The Department undertakes many longitudinal research subjects assigned by the National Audit Office and the Ministry of Finance, e.g. “Engineering project control”, and cross-sectional research subjects from China Three Gorges Group, PetroChina, and so on.
In dedication to teaching, research, and social benefits, the Engineering Management Department launches professional trainings, and participates in all kinds of auditing projects and provides consulting services to enterprises.
