Opening Ceremony for China Government Scholarship Auditing Master Program

On the morning of Oct. 20th, 2016, the opening ceremony for China Government Scholarship Auditing Master Program (CGSAMP), the first session of the 5-year program, was successfully held in Nanjing Audit University. Mr. Chen Chenzhao, Deputy Auditor General of CNAO, Mr. Wang Shenggang, Deputy Secretary General of China Scholarship Council Secretariat, Ms. Liu Xiaoli, Deputy Director General of Department of Personnel and Education of CNAO, Mr. Wang Jiaxin, Party Secretary of NAU and Mr. Yan Weilong, President of NAU are all present in the ceremony and delivered important speeches. The attendees for the ceremony also include all leadership of NAU, the Deans for relevant Schools and Departments supporting this program, all the academic instructors and 50 international students of 35 countries from Asia, Africa, Latin America and South Pacific Region.

China Government Audit Scholarship is set up to assist auditors from SAIs of Asia, Africa, Latin America and South Pacific Region to pursue academic study for MAud degree in the next five years from 2016-2020, according to the MOU signed by the Minister of Education and the Auditor General of CNAO on 24 June, 2016. The program aims at enhancing the national strategy of “One Belt and One Road” policy by introducing China audit theoretical achievements and practices, strengthening and improving China’s influence on the international audit arena.
In their respective speeches, Mr. Chen Chenzhao, Deputy Auditor General of CNAO, Mr. Wang Shenggang, Deputy Secretary General of China Scholarship Council Secretariat, Ms. Liu Xiaoli, Deputy Director General of Department of Personnel and Education of CNAO, Mr. Wang Jiaxin, Party Secretary of NAU and Mr. Yan Weilong, President of NAU all expressed their sincere and warm congratulations to all the qualified participants, and their truthful and heartfelt gratitude to all the parties cooperating and dedicated to the successful implementation of this program. They also expressed their earnest wishes and suggestions to all the international students, hoping them to take this valuable experience not only improving their own auditing capabilities through their future study, but also enhancing the more profound mutual communication between China and their respective countries.
