Twenty-four International Students of NAU Won Chinese Government Scholarship

 

In the afternoon of April 29, 2014, School of International Exchange hold “The 2013 Annual Award Ceremony of Government International Students Scholarship” in Wenxin Theatre. Professor Yin Ping, Vice President of Nanjing Audit University; Ni Qing, Director of the Foreign Affairs Office; Professor Cheng Lengjie, Dean of School of International Exchange present at the ceremony.

First of all, Vice Preside Yin Ping gave his congratulation speech. On behalf of Nanjing Audit University, Prof.Yin expressed his warm congratulations to the students who won Chinese Government Scholarship. Prof. Yin said the Chinese Government Scholarship Program is not only to attract and encourage outstanding international students to study and engage in scientific research in Chinese universities, but also to express the concern of Chinese government for international students at his or her own expense. As part and parcel of NAU's educational philosophy "internationalization", Nanjing Audit University has always been very concerned about and supported the development of the international students by doing everything possible to create a good learning and living environment. In the mean time, Prof. Yin hope that all the international students can be cultural ambassadors to promote friendly exchanges between the different cultures, and make their own contribution for the mutual understanding and friendship of different nations.

Afterwards, Vice President Yin Ping, Director Ni Qing and Dean Cheng Lengjie issued the certificates for the students who won The 2013 Annual Award Ceremony of Government International Students Scholarship.

Abdusatarova Khusnigul from Kyrgyzstan, Chun Ren How from  Malaysia and Lenin Tunder Dwana from Liberia on behalf of  scholarship winners made their speeches.

Abdusatarova Khusnigul said before she came to China, she had her doubts and fear that Chinese language must be very difficult. But with the help of her teachers and friends, this fear turned into confidence and joy of learning. She found a bigger international family in NAU.

 Chun Ren How said winning the scholarship is not only an honor but also eases some financial burden that is afforded by their parents; the scholarship is an encouragement for him to put his best foot forward in the study, a power to boost him to improve himself.

Lenin Tunder Dwana said according to recent development the Chinese Government remain the single nation providing the highest scholarship to Africa and other parts of the world which his home country Liberia is no exception. As the Chinese saying goes, when you drink water, don't forget those who dug the well. They will always cherish the memories and support of the Nanjing Audit University, and all others who have make this scholarship possible. All the scholars should muster the courage and determination to obtain the best result from this scholarship.
