The 1st Sino-Hungarian International Forum Held in NAU

 

On the morning of April 12, scholars from home and abroad gathered in the campus auditorium to celebrate the opening of the 1st Sino-Hungarian International Forum which was hosted by Nanjing Audit University and the University of Pecs, and co-hosted by Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences.

 

The third plenary session of the 18th CPC meeting pointed out that the aim of this new era is to push forward the modernization of national governance system and governance capacity. Against this background, this international forum was organized on the theme of “society governed by law, national governance and government audit”.

 

In his opening remarks, President Yan Weilong said that since the establishment of Sino-Hungarian Academic, Research and Cultural Center (SHARC) in 2012, cooperation between NAU and UP has been reaping fruitful results. The organization of this forum pushed our bilateral relationship up to a higher level.

 

Prof. Krisztian of the Faculty of Business and Economics of UP described this relation as a “young horse” which is brisk, bright, strong, forceful, innovative and playful.

 

This international forum lasted one day and a half. About 90 scholars from 5 foreign countries, Chinese Taiwan and Chinese mainland participated. 6 sessions of seminar were held, 43 scholars gave keynote speeches or presentations and 23 experts offered their comments.

 

In the Closing Ceremony, Vice President Wang Huijin said that this forum is a good beginning of the academic communication between China and Hungary. He expected cooperation in wider and deeper fields, and wished every success for the 2nd forum which would be held in Hungary next year.
