AICPA International Education Seminar Held in NAU

On November 25, the AICPA International Education Seminar for Chinese universities was held in Nanjing Audit University. Representatives from three parties, namely AICPA, its service provider in China, and over 30 Chinese universities gathered in the campus to discuss the development and opportunity of accounting education in China.

In his address, President Yan Weilong pointed out that as a university of finance and economics, NAU is especially advantageous in auditing, finance, and accounting. The programs such as AICPA and ACCA which adopt the mode of degree education + practitioner certification education are conducive to improving the students' comprehensive abilities while providing references to undergraduate education reform.

 

Mr. Jim Knafo, President of International Relations of AICPA introduced AICPA and its vision. He expressed appreciation to NAU for introducing this program and invited the seminar participants to take a field trip to the United States.

 

Mr. Benjiamin Wong of Becker (Asia Pacific) and Mr. Liu Wenquan of chinaacc introduced the development of AICPA in the Asia Pacific region and China respectively.

After the seminar, Mr. Jim Knafo met with the students of NAU AICPA program and communicated with them.
