LSE professor Frank A.Cowell awarded NAU guest professorship

 

On June 13, Frank A.Cowell, PhD of Economics of Cambridge University and tenor professor of the London School of Economics paid an academic visit to Nanjing Audit University (NAU) and was awarded NAU guest professorship.

The awarding ceremony was held in the morning in the school auditorium and was attended by Vice President YIN Ping, Vice President PEI Yu, Director of the Public Policy Center YU Yiwen.

Firstly, Vice President YIN Ping extended the warmest welcome to Frank A.Cowell, whose visit was of importance to the internationalization at the 30th anniversary of the university. NAU has always been following the philosophy of "distinguishing features, high quality, internationalization" and hopes to establish further cooperation with the London School of Economics.

  After the ceremony, Frank A.Cowell gave an academic report on "Measuring and Valuing Mobility". He first introduced the basic theory of economic mobility, then the measuring of mobility, and the relationship between mobility and equity. By adopting experimental economics, Prof. A.Cowell explained people's preference for mobility and equity. The report was followed by the Q & A session.
