Library of NAU

As one of the birthplaces of Chinese audit of higher education, the library of Nanjing Audit University was founded in 1983; its predecessor was the library of Nanjing Institute of Finance and Trade which was later renamed as Nanjing Audit University in 1987. The new library of Pukou campus of NAU, completed in 2006, as the main library which was named DeYi Building was in use on April 2007. The library boasts a collection of books and materials of over 3,000,000 volumes, 1,195 Ethernet interfaces and 2,600 seats.
       Now the library of NAU consists of the library of Pukou campus and Mochou branch. It has a total of 35,257 square meters and 3,568 reading seats. The collection of the library is rich in resources, with around 1400,000 volumes, and over 3100,000 kinds of electronic books, more than 9,000 kinds of Chinese electric periodicals and over 3,000 kinds of foreign electronic periodicals, etc. It has 26 Chinese database and 9 foreign language database, and moreover, the storage resource capacity of the library reaches 70TB. It orders more than 1,714 kinds of Chinese and foreign-language periodicals and 157 kinds of Chinese and foreign newspapers.
       The library currently has 77 full-time employees, among whom 2 Doctors, 23 Masters, and those with master’s degree above account for 33% of the staff, bachelor degree above accounting for 82%. The library boasts reasonable academic structure, professional title structure and knowledge structure, which makes the library work more smoothly.
       In accordance with the education philosophy of “distinguishing features, quality and internationalization” held by NAU, the library actively carries out the construction of literature resources in order to facilitate the discipline construction, professionalism development and training programs of the University.
       In recent years, the library has organized project research and construction work sponsored by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Finance, Jiangsu Province and its provincial department of education, to support NAU’s efforts in subject construction and talents cultivation.
